Born in 1984 in Kristiansand, young Norwegian sculptor and multimedia artist Marthe Elise Stramrud currently lives and works in Bergen. Her work revolves around compositions of everyday objects with references to photography. Stramrud tries to suggest new ways to look at and process things in our immediate surroundings while pointing at a potentially poetic charge of trivial materials.
It’s her first time in Bulgaria to present her unusual combination of everyday objects with art in which she sees a poetical quality. What are her first impressions of Bulgaria? What does she seek in her work and her artistic endeavors?
