PMs of Bulgaria and Romania discuss key bilateral issues

The prime ministers of Bulgaria and Romania Boyko Borissov and Mihai Tudose discussed, in a telephone conversation, bilateral cooperation possibilities as part of the EU Danube and Black Sea strategy which are among the priorities in Bulgaria’s upcoming Bulgarian presidency of the Council of the EU.

Regarding the Kainardja-Lipnitsa border checkpoint which has been constructed but is not functioning, PM Tudose undertook to organize the inspections necessary so as to resolve the problem. The prime ministers of the two countries agreed that the two governments must continue their efforts towards the implementation of projects of mutual interest and set a joint meeting for September.
