Amidst protests GERB remains first political force: Social survey

Five parties will enter the next National Assembly if elections were to be held today, indicates a national survey by Trend agency conducted in August.

Despite the protests, the ruling GERB party has the support of 23.8%. Within the margin of error, they are followed by the opposition Bulgarian Socialist Party, BSP, at 23.4%. Third comes the party of showman and TV personality Slavi Trifonov “There are such people” with 15.9%. Support for the Movement for Rights and Freedoms, DPS, and for Democratic Bulgaria stands at 10%.

Support for the protests remains unchanged at 62%. 30% of the respondents say they do not support the anti-government action. 42% believe the government  will not resign, 1/3 are hoping it will.
