Bulgaria's Prime Minister Boyko Borissov has been questioned by prosecutors over reports that he is linked to the purchase of a luxury property worth millions of euros in Barcelona. This is written in response to the state prosecution's questions from the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE), uploaded on the European Parliament's website.
The question whether the prosecutor's office is working on this case is one of the 29 questions that LIBE has sent to Bulgaria's Chief Prosecutor Ivan Geshev. The investigation has not been completed because the prosecutor's office has not yet received the materials from the Catalan authorities for the on-site investigation, BNR reports.
