Weather forecast for Bulgaria for Monday, February 28

Bad weather continues

Minimum temperatures on Monday will fluctuate between minus 2°C and 3°C, for Sofia- minus 2°C. The weather will be cloudy. It will stop snowing in Western Bulgaria. Yellow Code alert for heavy precipitation was declared for 13 districts in Eastern Bulgaria. Orange Code was declared for 3 districts along the Black Sea coast. Snowdrifts and blizzards and possible in the eastern parts of the country. Maximum temperatures will range between 1°C and 6°C, for Sofia- 1°C.

Heavy snowfall is in the forecast for the mountain areas. Strong northeasterly winds are expected. Maximum temperatures at an altitude of 1,200 meters will reach minus 3°C, at 2,000 meters- minus 9°C.

Temperatures will drop on Tuesday. Precipitation is expected in all Bulgarian districts.
