Bulgaria reports 316 new Covid-19 cases, 6 deaths

316 is the number of new Covid-19 cases out of 6,917 tests performed in the country in the past day, which is 216 up on the previous day. The coronavirus positivity rate stands at 4.56%. More than two-thirds of the new infections are among the unvaccinated, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show.

The number of registered active cases is down by 1,842 to 80,263. The number of patients admitted to hospital in the past 24 hours is 62, of them 48 or 77.42% were not vaccinated. 456 people are currently being treated in hospital, 38 of them in intensive care.

Six patients with confirmed Covid-19 have died in the past day, 4 of them were not vaccinated. The number of recoveries reported is 2,158.

750 doses of vaccine were administered in Bulgaria on Wednesday, bringing the total number of vaccines administered since the start of the pandemic up to 4,396,553.
