Prime Minister Nikolai Denkov expects the state budget for 2023 to be supported in parliament by GERB-SDS and the Movement for Rights and Freedoms. "Certainly, GERB and MRF have the right to make comments and proposals, but for me the key is to keep to the Maastricht criteria. The budget seems feasible to me. I have heard comments from various experts. Many of them say that the budget is realistic".

Denkov spoke to journalists at the "Tsrancha" military training ground, where he observed the exercise Stealth Dagger – 23. He made a comment about the request of GERB-SDS for a coalition agreement with "We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria". "It takes quite a long time to prepare a coalition agreement. It can take months! We don't have that time. We have to act now! Therefore, the only approach that I have seen working so far is precisely this one - with the search for consensus." the prime minister said.
