Arda FC wins its first success on foreign soil in Europe, Levski wins in the 98th minute

The football club “Arda” based in Kardzhali won 1:0 as a guest against Kauno Zalgiris in the first match of the third qualifying round in the Conference League. This is the first success on foreign soil in the history of the Bulgarian team in European tournaments.

In the second minute, the Lithuanians were left with 10 men on the field. Damian Pavlović committed a rough foul in the center against Georgi Nikolov. After consulting with VAR, the head referee Jeremy Muller sent off the Belgian-born Serbian midfielder. In the 53rd minute, Arda FC took the lead with a goal by Antonio Vutov.

The teenager Borislav Rupanov scored in the eighth minute of added time and Levski FC won in Sofia 1:0 against the Azerbaijani football club Sabah in the first match of the third qualifying round of the Conference League. The rematch in Baku is in a week.
