UK includes Bulgarian criminals in the "Deportation Now" scheme

Bulgarian citizens with criminal charges will be deported from the UK without the right to appeal the decision before expulsion. Bulgaria is among 15 countries added to a system called "Deportation Now, Appeal Later", BNR Horizont reported.

The system was introduced by the previous Conservative British government. It has now been expanded by the ruling Labour Party on the grounds that a large number of criminals can spend additional months and even years on the island while waiting for a decision on their deportation appeal.

Under the scheme, deportees can subsequently have their appeals heard via video link.
