The average gross monthly salary for September is EUR 1,319

The average gross monthly salary in Bulgaria for July 2025 was BGN 2,570 (EUR 1,314.02), for August BGN 2,497 (EUR 1,276.7), and for September BGN 2,580 (EUR 1.319). The average monthly salary increased by 12.0% compared to the third quarter of 2024, with the largest growth in the sectors “Administrative and Support Services” (+17.5%), “Construction” (+16.5%), and “Education” (+16.4%).

Significant regional disparities in average salary levels continue. In the leading region, Sofia-city, there was an increase of BGN 102 (EUR 52.15) in September compared to August. Average salaries exceed BGN 3,000 (EUR 1,500) only in the capital city. According to the latest data, the lowest average salary in the country is in Vidin – BGN 1,799 (EUR 919.81), followed by Blagoevgrad – BGN 1,815 (EUR 927.99).
