Sometimes people find it hard to translate something from and to a given foreign language. The search for unknown word is quite tiresome and takes a lot of time. Bulgarian inventor Vladimir Ichevski found a solution to this problem by creating a unique laser watch which reads unknown words in less than two seconds and translates them into the selected language. The idea of the Bulgarian inventor was born more than twenty years ago. Initially, the software was built in a pen which was presented during the International Technical Fair in Plovdiv and was welcomed with great enthusiasm. Mr. Ichevski found out that a similar gadget would be extremely useful in peoples' daily round. Why he decided to reconstruct his invention? We learn more from Vladimir Ichevski himself:

Снимка“We supported the pen until 2012. Later, with regard to the new technical trends in mobile electronics we had to invent a new product. This was the period when the migration of the mobile electronics from the human pockets to their wrists and hands started. The technology has to be convenient and do a lot of work with less effort. We had to find out a solution how to transform the big pen into something smaller, such as a smart watch, in order to keep up with the new trends.”

The smart watch has practical size. It is as big as a male watch. People can use it as a separate device, or wear it on their wrists with a belt. A slight wrist movement is enough to start the device and people do not have to push any buttons whatsoever. So far, the watch works with Cyrillic and Latin language scripts. It is interesting to note that the device is universal and can read information from all types of surfaces, including paper, screen, etc.

“The watch can translate words and phrases from each environment containing printed text-books, newspapers, magazines, electronic discs, tablets, smartphones, etc. The device works independently from any types of networks and does not use translating systems from the Internet. People can use it on all parts of the globe”, Mr. Ichevski went on to say.

The Bulgarian inventor shares his optimistic expectations about his smart watch:

“The watch can develop in many aspects. Currently it is in its basic version. However, we can attach all types of new functions to it, such as the voice option and properties that will enable the device to read languages with some newer and more intelligent systems. The watch can be connected to the world web and some of its properties can be used in products of some leading world technological companies. The smart watch proves that large technologies can be applied in very small electronic device with huge intellect.”

Vladimir Ichevski managed to create a very convenient device. He follows the motto: Minimum efforts for maximum results.

However, he has to receive substantial financing, in order to start producing the device in larger numbers. The Bulgarian inventor shared with us another idea - he intends to implement a new strategy known as customer initiated marketing where customers make their orders in advance. This method is new for the Bulgarian market, although it is relatively popular worldwide.
