The ad hock committee of inquiry on the facts and circumstances related to alleged interference of Turkey and Russia into Bulgaria’s internal affairs did not vote the draft decision linked with the pre-term suspension of its activity. The leader of the nationalistic IMRO party Krasimir Karakachanov came up with the proposal that the name of the commission had to be changed and Russia and Turkey had to be substituted with the term third countries. In his view, the recent proposal linked with the suspension of the commission’s activity proves that there was an interference in the country’s internal affairs. Magdalena Tasheva from the nationalistic Ataka party commented that such a commission should not exist in its current format. According to Svetoslav Belemezov from the leftist ABV party, such issues must be part of the prerogatives of the Bulgarian government and the special services.
