We mark Earth Hour - one hour without lights

The 10th edition of the campaign Earth Hour which began in Australia in 2007 will be held today at locations around the world. In Bulgaria from 8.30 to 9.30 pm the facade lighting of numerous buildings will be switched off as a sign of commitment to environmental protection.

More than 90 Bulgarian municipalities will support the initiative. The traditional place in Sofia where Earth Hour is observed is the garden in front of the Ivan Vazov National Theatre, said Ivan Radev from the Bulgarian office of the World Wildlife Fund.

This year, the campaign invites people to use social networks to show by example how people can reduce human impact on the climate.
