Bulgaria’s cabinet opens concession procedure for Plovdiv Airport

Bulgaria’s cabinet adopted a decision aimed at opening a concession procedure for Plovdiv Airport for a period of 35 years. The purpose of the authorities is to attract a reliable investor with rich experience in management, exploitation and development of similar facilities. Thus, the government intends to secure the future of the airport in Bulgaria’s second-biggest city. The concession would contribute to the improvement of the current airport infrastructure and help the airport reach the international standards, the motifs of the cabinet’s decision read.
