Bulgarian tourism expects strong summer season

The number of tourists from Germany who are expected to visit Bulgaria this summer has marked a 25-percent rise, according to data by various tour operators, Bulgarian Minister of Tourism Nikolina Angelkova has announced. A 30-percent rise in the number of Russian tourists visiting this country is also expected. For the first time there will be charter flights from France, as some 106,000 French citizens are expected to come to Bulgaria. The growth of the number of Polish tourists could reach 100 percent, while there is ongoing growth in the number of Romanian tourists to this country. Minister Angelkova also said that in France and Italy Bulgaria was among the top three tourist destinations. In Moscow and Austria tour operators place Bulgaria at the top among attractive tourist destinations.
