A new Agency for Economic Growth of the Ministry of the Economy is to be set up, writes Sega newspaper. It will comprise the InvestBulgaria Agency and the Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency. The Economic Growth Agency will maintain regular contact with potential investors, promote the country as a good place for doing business and award certificates to major investors.

Hotels will be incorporated in an information system with the tax administration and the Interior Ministry, Standart writes, referring to amendments to the Tourism Act now up for public discussion. The tourist information system will make the sector more transparent and lead to better revenue collectability in the sphere of tourism. Hotel operators are liable to fines of up to 7,000 Leva for non-disclosure of the number of guests they have, the paper adds.

Ten Bulgarian beaches have been awarded a Blue Flag this year, writes Novinar. The concessionaries of the beaches awarded offer excellent tourist services in combination with a rational use of natural assets and environmentally-friendly management, the Bulgarian Blue Flag movement says. The Blue Flag campaign includes around 50 countries of Europe, North and South America, Asia, Africa and Oceania.

Company revenues and profits are up by a record 17 percent, Capital Daily writes. The enlivenment of the economy is clearly visible in last year's financial results of companies in Bulgaria with an improvement in all indexes. This is indicated by National Revenue Agency data after having processed company tax returns for 2015.  

The Road Infrastructure Agency is to receive 180 million euro under the OP Regions in Growth, the 24 Chassa writes. This sum will be sufficient for repairs of almost 250 kms. of second and third class roads. The money is earmarked for 17 individual sections, 248 kms. in length overall.
