Holy Synod removes Archimandrite Dionisii from Alexander Nevsky Cathedral

The Bulgarian Holy Synod discharged the dean of Alexander Nevsky Cathedral Archimandrite Dionisii from his position. The Holy Synod is yet to decide who will take Archimandrite Dionisii’s position at the temple. Dionisii was accused of illegal activities, including his decision to organize fireworks show during the solemn Easter liturgy in front of Bulgaria’s biggest Orthodox temple, without asking the Holy Synod for permission.
