Bulgaria’s legendary gymnast Yordan Yovchev will be inducted into the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame. The ceremony will be held today in Oklahoma City, USA. In addition to Bulgaria’s athlete, inducted into the Hall of Fame will be also Aurelia Dobre (Romania), Igor Korobchinski (Ukraine) and Tatiana Lysenko (Ukraine).

In 2008, another Bulgarian athlete was inducted into the IGHOF. This was Stoyan Delchev who won two medals at the Olympic Games in 1980 - gold in the horizontal bar and bronze in the AA.

Yovchev is the only gymnast with a participation in six Olympiads (1992-2012), where he won four medals. He has four gold medals and a total of 13 medals in 16 World Championships in gymnastics.

With today’s ceremony, the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame will include a total of 91 gymnasts from 22 countries.
