The participants at the jubilee meeting of the South-East European Cooperation Process in Sofia united around the stand that the process of European and Euro-Atlantic integration in the region had to continue. Presidents, Premiers and Foreign Ministers of SEECP countrties discussed topical issues, accentuating on the EU integration, energy security, migration and the fight against terrorism. The European Project will not be complete until all countries from the Western Balkans join the EU, Bulgaria’s President Rossen Plevneliev, who hosts the meeting, pointed out. The improvement of the regional infrastructure and connectivity was outlined as key priority of that region. According to the participants, the main challenge of the region is related to the energy independence. The participants agreed that the countries should find steadfast and innovative approaches to deal with the migration processes. It is intolerable, impossible and unrealistic for each country to deal with the migration crisis on its own. We will coordinate our efforts in that direction, President Plevneliev further said. The forum marked the end of the Bulgarian Presidency of the South-East European Cooperation Process. Croatia is the next country to take over the rotational Presidency of SEECP.
