UK referendum likely to have healing effect: Defense Minister Nikolay Nenchev

The referendum in Great Britain will have a healing effect on the European Union, Bulgarian Defense Minister Nikolay Nenchev said in Veliko Tarnovo. “What has happened in Britain will give a very clear and strong signal to a free and democratic European Union. It is going to wake up sound thinking and is already making people aware that it is absolutely easy to talk populism but it is very hard to amend the mistakes made by populists.” Minister Nenchev announced that he would award the six military divers who participated in the search for the bodies of two boys who drowned in the river Yantra.
