Israeli aircraft escorted by Bulgarian fighter jets

After information received about a possible explosion device on board an Israeli aircraft carrying out flight LY2 today, the Bulgarian Ministry of Defence has triggered the procedure for the aircraft’s passage across the Bulgarian air space. The plane was escorted by Bulgarian fighter jets. The aircraft of Israel’s national airline El Al was operating a flight from New York to Tel Aviv. In the meantime, the Russian Interfax agency reported that no explosive device was found on board the aircraft that has already landed in Tel Aviv.
