Bulgaria marks 166 years since the birth of great Bulgarian writer and poet Ivan Vazov. Residents of Sofia and guests to the city have laid flowers and wreaths at the monument to the writer on Georgi Rakovski Street. Celebrations have also started in the town of Sopot, which is the birthplace of Ivan Vazov. Traditionally, the "Ivan Vazov” museum-house in Sofia is open to guests for free on this day.
