Wholesale market prices index up 1.4%

The wholesale market prices index has increased with 1.4% to 1.299 points this week, the Bulgarian Commodity Exchange and Wholesale Markets State Commission announced. The price of greenhouse tomatoes decreased by 1.4% and their average price amounted to EUR 0.7 per kilogram. The price of the greenhouse cucumbers dwindled by nearly 14% and their average price was to the tune of EUR 0.78 per kilo. However, the wholesale price of the potatoes went up by 8.6% to EUR 0.32 per kilogram. The average prices of other wholesale products are as follows: green peppers-EUR 0.57 per kilo, apples- EUR 0.50 per kilogram, cherries-EUR 1.35 per kilogram, minced meat-EUR 2.37 per kilo, frozen chicken-EUR 1.41, sugar-EUR 0.76 per kilo, white flour-EUR 0.41, eggs-EUR 0.08 per piece, etc.
