The unemployment level in Bulgaria has dropped below the EU average for the first time in 11 years and currently it is just over 7%, Bulgaria’s Minister of Labor and Social Policy Zornitsa Rusinova announced on Sunday. However, a series of difficulties and challenges still exist on the country’s labor market. The main topic of discussion between Bulgaria’s Social Ministry, employers and municipalities regards the training of highly-qualified personnel, Minister Rusinova said, adding that currently the labor market is short of some 10,000 dressmakers. The local authorities and district governors will make clear forecasts once every six months about the need of labor force in given Bulgarian regions. Thus, investments made in training and qualification of Bulgarian workforce will be much more efficient, Zornitsa Rusinova added.
