Parliament has finally passed a bill of amendments to the Judiciary Act. Under them magistrates shall declare involvement in secret societies or formal and non-formal organizations. Every judge, prosecutor or investigator and the members of the Supreme Judicial Council shall declare within a month after taking office their activities and memberships of societies, non-profit organizations or civil associations. When a change occurs in this regard they shall have to submit new declarations. The change is introduced to make sure that magistrates act independently.
