Sofia and Athens discuss construction of railway line between Black Sea and Aegean Sea

Greece’s Premier Alexis Tsipras announced after the Bulgaria-Greece intergovernmental sitting that both parties discussed possible construction of a railway line between the Bulgarian port Burgas and the Greek port Alexandroupolis which would connect the Black Sea and the Aegean Sea. Premier Boyko Borissov pointed out that although the cabinets of Bulgaria and Greece belong to different political families, they have common positions in all critical fields and the bilateral relations between Bulgaria and Greece are based on mutual confidence and understanding. Bulgaria and Greece are ready to cooperate in the economy, agriculture, cultural, legal affairs, internal and foreign affairs, transport and power engineering fields, a joint declaration reads.
