Average monthly salary in Bulgaria reaches 484 euro

The average monthly salary in Bulgaria during the second quarter of 2016 stood at 484 euro, indicate data of the National Statistical Institute.
The employment rate is up due to the seasonal jobs in tourism and agriculture. Compared to 2015 the average monthly salary is up by 7.6 percent. According to National Statistical Institute data the highest average monthly salaries are in generating and disseminating information and creative products as well as in telecommunications – 1,103 euro. The lowest salaries are in hotel and restaurant keeping – an average of 304 euro per month. The minimum monthly salary in the country stands at 215 euro.
