Bulgaria's balance of payments improves

In the period January to September 2016 Bulgaria’s balance of payments not only remained positive, but has also registered improvement. For the first nine months of the year the balance of current and capital account of the state is positive, reaching 3.1194 billion euros or 6.9% of projected GDP, while in the same period of 2015 it was 1.9854 billion euros or 4.4 percent of GDP. The trade balance since the beginning of the year is negative and totals 1.0881 million euros or 2.4 percent of GDP. However, over the same period last year the deficit was considerably higher - 1.6118 billion euros or 3 6% of GDP.
