Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova and managers of large shopping malls discussed on Thursday measures aimed at boosting security at the large shopping centers and the surrounding areas. The managers of the shopping malls voiced their commitment to enhance security measures at the entrances and the exits of the shopping malls and improve video surveillance inside and outside the shopping centers. The authorities strengthened the security measures at underground stations, bus stations, railway stations, Sofia Airport and in open-air areas of festive events. Special security measures will be taken during the open-air concert on the New Year’s Eve downtown Sofia.
