Presidential advisor Darina Vladova: More than 2 million Leva raised after “Bulgarian Christmas” concert

“More than 2 million leva was raised in the “Bulgarian Christmas” campaign after the end of last night’s concert,” said Darina Vladova, advisor to the Bulgarian President.

Almost 700,000 have sent text messages, donating money since the start of the 14th edition of the “Bulgarian Christmas” on 30 November. More than 1,400 000 Leva has been raised since then. 

The funds raised will go in support of children with severe chronic diseases, for purchasing modern high precision diagnostic, treatment and rehabilitation equipment.

“Through the years the “Bulgarian Christmas” campaign has helped 3,409 children in their battle against disease and has donated modern medical and rehabilitation equipment to 229 medical establishments throughout the country. For 14 years the “Bulgarian Christmas” initiative has been generating a sense of comprehensive care for the health of children in Bulgaria,” said Darina Vladova.

This year’s Christmas Day charity concert of the “Bulgarian Christmas” initiative was joined by renowned Bulgarian musicians, dancers, athletes, actors and journalists, among them opera prima Rayna Kabaivanska, folk singer Nikolina Chakardakova, Krisia, children from the Lyubomir Pipkov Music School and many more.
