Bulgarian yogurt tops US chart of dairy products

Bulgarian-style yogurt "Trimona" has been selected as number 1 dairy product in the Best New Dairy Products poll of Dairy Foods magazine.

"Trimona" is produced in the vicinity of New York, where the Lactobacillus bulgaricus bacteria turn whole milk into Bulgarian yogurt. The company was founded by Atanas Vulev and named after one of the ancient names of his hometown of Plovdiv.

Dairy Foods is a specialized media for the dairy industry in the United States that monitors new trends and technologies in the industry, offnews.bg website reported.
