Toma Sprostranov receives BNR Sirak Skitnik Award

During an official ceremony at the Bulgarian National Radio last night the 2016 BNR Sirak Skitnik Grand Prix was given to veteran pop & rock music radio show host Toma Sprostranov. Bulgarian National Radio Director General Alexander Velev said that this prestigious award was an honor to both the awarded persons and to BNR itself being a token of a major contribution into public life, innovation and creativity. The award was initiated in 2001 and is named after the first director of Radio Sofia, Siak Skitnik, a talented artist, critic, poet, theater director and public figure. It is awarded every year on 25 January, the Day of the Radio.
