President Rumen Radev presents caretaker government and its priorities

The caretaker government must take all measures to prevent manipulation and distortion of the electoral process. That is what President Rumen Radev said during an official ceremony in the Council of Ministers, where he presented the structure, composition and priorities of the future caretaker government.

He said the cabinet has clearly defined priorities - ensuring the smooth operation of the country until the elections and forming a new government, as well as ensuring fair elections and preparation of Bulgarian EU presidency. The president pointed out that it was of crucial importance to ensure the financial, social and economic stability of the country and the security of Bulgarian citizens.

Prime Minister of the caretaker government is former Parliament Speaker Ognyan Gerdjikov. His cabinet includes four deputy prime ministers and fifteen ministers.
