Bulgaria’s honey is sold successfully on the foreign markets, caretaker Deputy-Minister of Agriculture and Food Professor Georgi Zhelyazkov said in the city of Pleven (Central North Bulgaria) during the opening of the 15th International Fair Apiculture-Pleven-2017. Deputy Minister Zhelyazkov pointed out that Bulgaria produces between 12,500 and 13,000 tons of honey per year and exports nearly 6.500 to 7.000 tons of honey. This year the honey exhibition in Pleven gathered nearly 200 bee-keepers from all EU member states and some Asian countries.
