Caretaker government wants new Chief Secretary of Interior Ministry

The Council of Ministers has decided to request from President Rumen Radev changing by a decree the Chief Secretary of the Interior Ministry, Georgi Kostov.

Caretaker Interior Minister Plamen Uzunov said that in the period 2015-2016, Kostov exercised pressure on the ministry staff, causing some of them to voluntarily quit their jobs or people were moved to lower positions.

The principle of political neutrality in the Interior Ministry was violated, the minister added.
