Bulgaria places second in EU in terms of funds absorbed by small and medium-sized companies

At a conference held under to motto Entrepreneurship for Growth the European Commissioner for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs Elżbieta Bieńkowska announced that Bulgaria places second in the EU ranking in terms of European funds absorbed by small and medium-sized companies. Commissioner Bieńkowska voiced satisfaction with the fact that Bulgaria was the only EU country that launched a local support center for SMEs. Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova pointed out that Sofia is among the European capitals with highest increase of start-up companies in the IT sector.
