Bulgaria’s cabinet has adopted the country’s stand for the forthcoming sitting of the European Council on March 9 and 10 in Brussels. A Bulgarian delegation will support the measures aimed at promoting investments, economic growth and employment in the European economies. With regard to the migration topics, the Bulgarian delegation would continue to insist on the full control over the EU external borders and the provision of joint support to the frontline member states. During the discussion of the situation in the Western Balkans Bulgaria will reaffirm its support towards the EU’s enlargement policy towards all countries in that region, but will meanwhile underline that the integration progress of each country must depend on its own achievements related to the fulfillment of the necessary criteria.
