At a meeting in Sofia between Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov and Russian Ambassador Anatoly Makarov, a topic of discussion became the recent speech of Russian President Vladimir Putin on the Cyrillic alphabet.
Yesterday in Moscow, Putin told Macedonian President Gjorge Ivanov that the alphabet had been transferred to Russia from "Macedonian lands".
