Minister of Defense Krasimir Karakachanov to meet with commanders of Graf Ignatievo air base.

Bulgaria’s Minister of Defense Krasimir Karakachanov is to meet on Sunday with the commanders of Graf Ignatievo air base. Minister Karakachanov is to get acquainted with the state of the fighter jets and the aviation equipment used by the country’s air force to guarantee Bulgaria’s air sovereignty within NATO’s integrated air defense system. Krasimir Karakachanov will discuss with the commanders of Graf Ignatievo air base concrete safety procedures and actions aimed at preventing aviation accidents. Befоre his visit to Graf Ignatievo Minister Karakachanov will attend the funeral of Major Georgi Anastasov who lost his life on Friday during a military exercise near Varna.
