Premier Boyko Borissov meets Turkish counterpart Binali Yildirim

Common transit corridors in the infrastructure and the transport fields can be formed in Bulgaria-Turkey joint activity, Turkey’s Premier Binali Yildirim said after he met with Bulgaria’s Premier Boyko Borissov who is paying an official visit to Turkey. I hope that those high-level visits would continue. They contribute to our bilateral relations and the stability in the region, Premier Yildirim added. Boyko Borissov pointed out that Bulgaria has to work for stable relations with Turkey, as well as for the stability of the Balkan region as a whole. Premier Borissov thanked Premier Yildirim for Turkey’s efforts to keep the refugees in the security zones near the countries with military conflicts. Bulgaria and Turkey are an example of good neighborly relations, Bulgaria’s Premier Borissov further said. Bulgaria is at the border between Europe and Asia and Turkey is our biggest neighbor. We must make efforts through a series of regional activities to normalize the relations between the EU and Turkey, Boyko Borissov added.
