Project of Ombudsman Maya Manolova promotes child rights

Bulgaria’s capital Sofia hosts today the final forum under the project Boosting the Capacity of the Bulgarian Ombudsman for Independent Monitoring and Promotion of Child Rights. Bulgaria and Norway exchanged experience and good practices within the project held in partnership with UNICEF- Norway and UNICEF-Bulgaria. Norway was the first country to establish a separate Ombudsman for Children. Within the frameworks of the project Bulgaria’s Ombudsman Maya Manolova fulfilled a series of events and forums dedicated to children, including the new national campaign Our Child aimed at promoting children’s rights and the institution of the Bulgarian Ombudsman as an advocate and guardian of adolescents.
