After Bulgarian Minister of the Environment, Neno Dimov, repealed an ordinance that envisaged prohibiting construction, fishing and agriculture activities in the Kaliakra eco-zone, on Sunday the minister initiated a meeting with the mayors of Kavarna, Balchik and Shabla, as well as with members of the Save Dobrudzha initiative committee. The meeting takes place in the municipality building in the city of Varna.

Participants have been discussing the current situation stemming from a decision of the Court of the European Union against Bulgaria.

In a letter owners of land and property in the region of Kaliakra thanked Prime Minister Boyko Borissov for the fast reaction and for stopping the order. PM Borissov is also in Varna, holding a meeting with representatives of various sectors, it was reported.
