Prime Minister Borissov sends Merkel greetings over election victory

Immediately after the results of the exit polls during the elections in Germany were announced, Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov published in his Twitter account a message of greetings to Angela Merkel, thus becoming one of the first politicians in the world to congratulate her.

Commenting on the prospect of a fourth term in office of the German Chancellor, Borissov wrote: "Congratulations to Angela Merkel! Europe will remain strong and united."
