Central and Eastern Europe Foreign Ministers support accession of Western Balkan countries to EU

Budapest hosts the annual meeting of the Central and Eastern Europe Foreign Ministers. The EU enlargement policy is invaluable tool for achieving security and prosperity in the Western Balkans. Security and stability in the region are integral part of the security of the whole European Union, a joint statement of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs reads. Hungary’s Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto warned that in case of instability in Southeast Europe, that region may not be able to deal with a new migrant wave. Bulgaria is represented at the meeting by Deputy Premier and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva. The stability and the prosperity of the Western Balkans have been Bulgaria’s long-standing foreign policy priority. You can rely on Bulgaria for all types of support, Minister Zaharieva told her counterparts from the Western Balkan countries.
