2,000 Bulgarian children are suffering from diabetes

Nearly 2,000 Bulgarian children are suffering from diabetes, the Chairperson of the Association of Children with Diabetes Elisaveta Kotova told Horizont channel of the Bulgarian National Radio. An eight month-old baby is the youngest one. Some children are suffering from type 2 diabetes which is quite worrying, because this type of diabetes is typical for people aged 40 or above. This is due to obesity, overweight and sedentary life, Elisaveta Kotova said.
