At least nine die in road accident near Mikre, Lovech region

A severe road accident near the village of Mikre in the Lovech region, Central Bulgaria, has killed nine and left more than 15 injured some of whom are in a critical condition.

During the crash that occurred at 12:50 PM local time a passenger minibus and a truck collided. A group of persons with impaired sight travelled in the minibus for an organized trip.

Following an order of Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, four ambulances from the Military Medical Academy and Lozenets Hospital in Sofia have been sent to the scene of the crash. The Minister of Health Kiril Ananiev is already there. Investigation is checking into the cause of the severe accident.
