Borissov, Erdogan praise bilateral relations: phone call

In a phone call, Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan have praised bilateral relations and cooperation inside NATO as well as the efforts to maintain security and peace on the European Union outer borders.


The two leaders have commented the construction of Bulgaria's interconnector links with Turkey and Greece aimed to guarantee the energy independence of this country.

The Turkish media have reported that the topics discussed during the telephone conversation have included the forthcoming Bulgarian rotating presidency of the European Union and the question of how to speed up Turkey's accession to EU.
