Kristalina Georgieva, Chief Executive Officer of the World Bank stated for bTV that Bulgaria, which is now a member of the EU, can be a bridge for its neighbours to the EU.
The World Bank CEO added that she expected this country to enter the Eurozone waiting room in 2018. Asked about Schengen, Georgieva pointed out that Bulgaria is ready, all technical conditions have been met and the country’s accession to the area is down to a political decision by the member countries.
