Fake bomb threat signal closes Sofia Airport for nearly one hour

A fake bomb threat signal closed for nearly one hour the two terminals of Sofia Airport on Wednesday noon. Teams of Bulgarian Police responded immediately to the signal and made standard check. No explosive device was found. The airport started to function normally again. Earlier today the Minister of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union Lilyana Pavlova showed at Terminal 2 of Sofia Airport the electric vehicles that will transport the delegates arriving in Bulgaria’s capital for the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU which will be officially opened on Thursday (January 11).
