Bulgarian Presidency of Council of European Union starts with official ceremony in Sofia

The first Bulgarian rotating Presidency of the Council of the European Union will be officially opened today (January 11). Bulgaria’s Premier Boyko Borissov will hold a working meeting with the President of the European Council Donald Tusk before the official opening. The priorities during the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU and some of the programme of the Estonia-Bulgaria-Austria trio such as the European Perspective of the Western Balkans, cohesion policy, security and stability of the EU, digital economy and the future of Europe and its young people will be in the focus of this meeting, the press office of the Bulgarian government announced.
